Description
Bore Tech’s BORE/PATCH GUIDE CUSTOM COLLARS are necessary for rifle actions with bolt diameters that are either smaller or larger than 0.695”-0.700”. (inches) Most Remington, Winchester, Ruger, Browning, and Savage rifles DO NOT need a custom collar.

Bolt Diameter Requirements:
The standard bolt collar included with all Bore/Patch Guides will fit most popular centerfire actions with a 0.695”-0.700” (inches) bolt diameter. Most Remington, Winchester, Ruger, Browning, and Savage rifles have 0.695”-0.700” (inches) bolt diameters and DO NOT need a custom collar.
For actions with smaller or larger bolt diameters such as Weatherby, Sako, Kimber, CZ, etc., please have the rifle make, model and bolt body diameter to nearest 0.001” (inches) available. Each custom collar is threaded to except the brass locking handle used with the standard bolt collar.

Select the proper custom collar to fit your Bore/Patch Guide from the product selection drop down box and add it to your shopping cart. Please note there are 2 options available for each size Bore/Patch Guide; 0.695”& Under Diameter or 0.695”& Over Diameter.
During checkout, enter the rifle make/model and bolt body diameter to nearest 0.001” (inches) in the comments section. This information is used to machine the custom collar. Bore Tech is not responsible for inaccurate/incorrect measurements.

Bore Tech Bore/Patch Guide Custom Collar Use Instructions
To Change Collar:
1) Remove brass locking handle from standard collar.
2) Unscrew colored (Gold, Red, Green) Bore Guide Solvent Port or Patch Guide Patch Plate from black tube.
NOTE: Do not attempt to remove rubber nose cone as they are adhered to the black tube.
3) Once tube is unscrewed, the standard collar will slide off tube.
4) Slide custom collar onto tube being sure that the threaded locking handle hole is facing the rear of the guide.
5) Screw tube back into colored Guide Solvent Port or Patch Guide Patch Plate.
6) Screw brass locking handle into custom collar
Q: Why doesn’t the collar on my Bore Guide fit into my rifle action?
A: The standard collar included with our guides is sized to fit a 0.695” bolt diameter. While most rifle manufactures use a 0.695” bolt diameter, some actions can have smaller or larger bolt diameters. For these circumstances, a custom collar is needed.

A: You will need to measure the bolt body diameter to nearest 0.001” (inches) or provide the rifle make and model to determine what size collar is needed. If you are not able to provide the rifle make, model and bolt body diameter or are unsure what collar is needed for your application, please contact Customer Service to ensure the correct bolt collar for your application is received.
